Departure time: 9:00am. It was very windy.

To get to the Eyre Bird Observatory, it is 20km of dirt road, then down the escarpment (very steep) and 10km of sand.

We walked around the area looking for birds.

Enjoyed lunch at the observatory.

Checked out the original Eyre Telegraph Station before heading back up the scarpment to Cocklebiddy.

Visited Cocklebiddy Cave Cave which was closed due to unstable ground. Very windy

Back to Cocklebiddy Roadhouse, and fueled up.

Today’s Kms: 142km no towing. Lot’s of 4WD including low range, and lots of corrugations which shook the shit out of the D-Max.

Put some more air in the tyres, as rear right valve was leaking without tpms on. Found the valve was loose. Tightened and seems Ok.

Showers at the roadhouse $4.00 for 7 mins
