The D-Max has been fitted with a HiDrive canopy. It is a 2 door, not 3. This allowed us to edit a spare wheel Carrier (fold down) and jerry can holder on the rear. With the change to a caravan, and increased TBM, the rear spare tyre carrier and wheel have been removed due to excess weight on the rear axle.
The canopy has been fitted with compartments for storing our equipment and supplies.
A fridge (CF-80- Single Zone) has been fitted, along with am AGM battery which is charged by solar and C-DC charger.
I installed an electrical plate under the bonnet for fuses, solenoid etc.
A Safety Dave camera has been installed on the rear of the canopy in place of a rear view mirror.
With the purchase of a caravan, a camera socket has been installed on the rear of the D-Max for the 2 van cameras (rear view and reverse). There is an auto switch fitted so that it switches from the car camera to the van rear view camera.
The standard wheels and tyres have been replaced.
We have fitted a Starlink Mini to the vehicle to give us internet whereever we go.
Taken care of by a HiDrive 3500Kg tow bar and Redraw TowPro electric brake controller. A standard 7 pin connector is used.
An SB50 Anderson plug has been fitted to take care of trailer battery charging.
There is also a connector for the two cameras on the rear of the van.
We carry a range of recovery gear, especially as we quite often travel alone.
