Sheba Dam Reserve

Hanging Rock

Sheba Dams Reserve is a quiet bush camping area set within native forest, offering a relaxed and natural escape for travellers seeking space and simplicity. Originally part of historic gold mining activity in the region, the dams now provide a peaceful backdrop of still water, birdlife, and open woodland. It’s a place where the pace slows down and the sounds of wind through the trees replace road noise. The reserve suits self-sufficient campers who appreciate a low-key, uncrowded setting. Large open areas allow plenty of room to spread out, making it ideal for tents, camper trailers, and off-road caravans. Evenings are especially memorable, with expansive skies and excellent stargazing opportunities away from town lights.
