Rose Isle Station is a family-owned working sheep and cattle property located 70 kilometers downstream of Bourke and 30 kilometers from Louth on the Darling River Run in Outback New South Wales. Set along the scenic banks of the Darling River, it offers a blend of rustic charm, homestyle hospitality, and immersive outback experiences.​

Accommodation & Camping

Rose Isle Station provides a variety of accommodation options to suit different preferences:​

Powered and Unpowered Lawn Sites: Grassy areas suitable for caravans, camper trailers, boats, and tents. Riverfront Campsites: Secluded spots along the riverbank, offering tranquility and natural beauty. Self-Contained Cottage: A two-bedroom, fully air-conditioned cottage with a queen bed and two singles. Apartments: Air-conditioned units featuring a king bed and a king single, with options for adjoining rooms—ideal for families. Cabins: Comfortable, air-conditioned cabins equipped with a double and a single bed. Shearers Quarters and Dongas: Simple accommodations reflecting the station's heritage.​

Facilities include modern bathrooms and showers, a rustic kitchen, BBQ areas, a swimming pool, and laundry services. Pets are welcome, and large vehicle parking is available. ​

Homestyle Hospitality

Hosts Samantha and Garry Mooring extend warm hospitality to guests. A highlight is the homemade morning tea served at the rustic camp kitchen overlooking the Darling River every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10:30 to 11:00 am. For those interested in meals, a home-cooked three-course dinner and breakfast can be arranged with a minimum of two guests. Lunch packs are also available for day trips.

Fishing and Yabbying: Enjoy the rich aquatic life of the Darling River. Bird Watching: Observe diverse bird species along the river and paddocks. Hiking and Kayaking: Explore the natural surroundings on foot or by kayak. Station Tours: Experience seasonal sheep and cattle work and learn about the station's operations. Garden Tours: Discover the extensive house gardens and meet the resident echidnas. Exploring Nearby Attractions: Visit Mt Gundabooka National Park, Toorale National Park, and historic towns like Louth, Tilpa, Cobar, and Bourke. ​
