The Old Brush Rainforest Retreat is a tranquil nature sanctuary located in Brunkerville, New South Wales, nestled within the Sugarloaf Range State Conservation Area. Accommodation

The retreat features two rustic, self-contained cabins constructed from recycled materials:

  • The Studio Cabin: An intimate space ideal for singles, couples, artists, and writers. It includes a double bed, wood fires, basic cooking facilities, a bar fridge, air conditioning, and a small library. The cabin is situated beside a billabong, providing a serene backdrop of frog and bird calls.
  • The Back Cabin: Located 300 meters from the main area, this one-bedroom cabin is surrounded by eucalyptus and rainforest trees. It offers easy access to the property's walking tracks and is suitable for small families or couples seeking seclusion.

Nature & Activities

Guests can explore over 20 kilometers of walking tracks ranging from easy to medium difficulty, meandering through diverse ecosystems and micro-climates. The property is home to approximately 150 bird species, kangaroos, and possums, making it a haven for wildlife enthusiasts and photographers. Picnic areas are available for day visitors, equipped with wood BBQs, tank water, and toilets.
