Canowindra Showground is a versatile and welcoming facility located in the heart of Canowindra, New South Wales. Situated at 199 Rodd Street, it serves as a hub for community events, camping, and recreational activities.​

Camping & Facilities

The showground offers both powered and unpowered camping sites, accommodating caravans, camper trailers, and tents. Facilities include:​

  • Modern amenities blocks with showers and accessible toilets ​
  • Potable water and a dump point ​
  • Pet-friendly environment (pets must be on a lead) ​
  • Good mobile and TV reception (Telstra and Optus 4G) ​

Camping fees are affordable, with unpowered sites at $10 per night and powered sites at $20 per night. Guests can stay for up to 72 hours, and a site manager is available to assist with power connections and fee collection. ​

Events & Community Use

Beyond camping, the Canowindra Showground is a central venue for various events, including the annual Canowindra Show and the renowned Canowindra International Balloon Challenge, which attracts thousands of visitors each year. The grounds also support regional sports and community gatherings, thanks to recent upgrades funded by a $250,000 Australian Government investment. ​
