We left Brisbane and headed for Chinchilla.
First stop Woodford where we visited the dump point, and had coffee and scones at Sticks and Stones Espresso Bar. Great coffee and scones!
Next stop, Blackbutt for fuel.
We arrived at Chinchilla Weir where we setup for the night. Chinchilla Weir is on the Condamine River. It is a popular free camping and recreation spot in Queensland. Set on the tranquil waters of the weir, it offers grassy sites for caravans, campers, and tents, with toilets, BBQs, picnic shelters, and even a few powered sites available. Visitors can enjoy fishing, kayaking, swimming, or simply relaxing by the water, while birdlife and bush surrounds add to the peaceful atmosphere. It is a donation camp.
Unfortunately, Therese twisted her ankle while going to get sunset photos.
